This is our brushless lab electric polishing motor, model 130021 from HYDRUMP. We built it for bench grinding and polishing, and it also does duty as a nail drill, a jewelry polisher and a micro carving motor. The reason we focused on torque is that when you grind a hard material, a weak motor stalls on you, you slow down and start again, and the surface comes out uneven.

This brushless motor keeps cutting without stalling even when you press hard. It runs up to 35,000 rpm, stays under 68 dB, runs on 220V or 110V, and clamps a standard 2.35 mm bur. It reverses direction, the speed is continuously variable, and you control it with the foot pedal or by hand. The motor runs a long time without oil, and the sealed bearings keep the noise low and the life long. The foot switch is engineering plastic, screwless, rated for at least ten million presses and able to stand one hundred kilograms of pressure.

A lab owner in Turin who tested an early batch told us his ordinary motor stalled whenever he ground an alloy block. One block took him about thirty minutes, and with this high torque motor it now takes around twenty. That is why we kept the high torque design.

On the first lot the foot switch signal was touchy on a few units after about half a year. We switched to a higher sensitivity micro switch and now run every lot through ten million press cycles before it ships. The switch stays steady now.

Use this motor for lab polishing, nail drilling, jewelry grinding and micro carving. For chairside work, use an air handpiece instead. It comes with the motor main unit, the foot pedal, the handpiece, a wrench, the manual and a color box.
