Our WJ-124 color high speed handpiece uses ceramic bearings. That is the single biggest difference from a budget unit. Ceramic runs quieter, roughly 60 dB at the tip, and it keeps spinning at 280,000 to 400,000 RPM without the metal-on-metal screech you get from ordinary bearings. Single water spray is enough for the everyday cavity prep you do on most days, and the push-button chuck makes bur swaps quick between patients.
The color is not a gimmick. Pick silver, black, pink, purple, blue, green or gold. Clinics with two or three dentists often color-code each handpiece so there is no argument over whose is whose.

How It Works
Connect it, press the chuck button, drop the bur in, release. That is the whole routine. The single spray cools the bur tip as you cut. After the patient, wipe it and pop it straight into the autoclave at 135°C; the ceramic bearing does not mind the heat the way a cheap steel one does.
