This is our HYDRUMP internal channel low speed kit, model WJ-414, made for clinics that want the cooling water to travel inside the handpiece and reach the bur directly.

The internal channel is the point of this design. Instead of water arriving from an outside tube, it runs through the contra angle and comes out right where the bur cuts, so the preparation stays cool even at low speed. The contra angle carries its own ball bearing and a heat-treated gear, so it does not warm up quickly and outlasts a standard head.

A dentist in Casablanca tested an early batch and told us his old low speed contra angle would get hot after five minutes of polishing, and patients could feel the warmth on the tooth. With the internal water the tooth stays cool. He estimated a full mouth polishing that used to take around twenty five minutes now takes about eighteen, and patients stopped mentioning the heat. That is why we kept the internal channel and the heat-treated gear.

The kit runs at 28000 to 40000 RPM on 0.25 to 0.30 MPa, delivers 25 to 45 Ncm of torque, and stays under 60 dB. It uses a single internal water spray on a standard head with push button chuck, and the LED white light shines onto the bur tip. The body is hard chrome plated, which resists scratches, and the whole kit autoclaves at 135 degrees.

In the first lot the internal channel would occasionally clog if the incoming water carried fine particles. We added a filter at the inlet and now run two hundred hours of continuous operation on each lot, and the water flow stays steady.

This kit suits low speed preparation, polishing and endodontic access. To cut through a crown, use our high speed handpiece.
