High-speed handpiece maintenance steps:
1. After the treatment, wipe the debris off the outside of the handpiece before removing the bur.
2. Wash the surface of the handpiece under running water with soapy water or detergent.
The handpiece is lubricated with oil, and then the handpiece is installed on the dental chair, and the machine is started. The pneumatic no-load operation penetrates the cleaning and lubrication of the handpiece to remove the excess lubricant in the handpiece. In the heating process, too much lubricant is unevenly accumulated in the handpiece, and the handpiece must be loaded with a pin when it is rotating.
3. Pin-hole oil cleaning, take out the bur for oil lubrication, with a special 0.6mm brush cleaning, pinhole oil cleaning twice.
Wipe the fiber optic connector and its exterior with a damp alcohol swab (not too much alcohol).
Do not use high concentration solution to avoid damage.
4. After cleaning and drying the handpiece, put it into a paper bag for encapsulation.
5. Use the operation routine of disinfection furnace to sterilize the handpiece (high temperature sterilization: 20 minutes at 121℃, 15 minutes at 135℃).
Store the handpiece in a safe place after sterilization and open the closed paper bag before use.
